The past few days we have been up at the mountain property we have under contract searching for the perfect building location.



First the monks spent time alone searching for the spot they thought would be perfect for their charism.

Then James McCrery, our architect, flew in to help us discover the right spot for building the Gothic monastery.



We searched every part of the property. There were many options and beautiful spots with views of the mountains or even in the mountains themselves.

We will keep you posted when we find the right spot . . .

In the Lord's Divine Providence, a beautiful 2,500 acre ranch south of Cody, Wyoming in the Meeteetse mountains was put under contract yesterday.

Although it will be a few months before we close, please pray as the Foundation works to have the property surveyed, appraised, and inspected.  Soil tests, water tests, and environmental tests will all need to be done.

There is a great deal of work in the weeks and months ahead, but we are one step closer towards a New Mount Carmel! Join us in thanking Jesus, Mary and Joseph for this tremendous step in the right direction.

The Foundation has reached this day thanks to the generosity of our faithful benefactors; may God reward each of you.  Today is truly a milestone in the history of the Carmelite Monks and the New Mount Carmel Foundation!  We will keep you posted as we proceed towards closing.
