Two Contingencies Met: One Step Closer to a New Mt Carmel

With great thanksgiving, the New Mount Carmel Foundation is pleased to announce that the appraisal and title contingencies have both been met.  The appraisal and title contingency were two conditions in our contract to purchase mountain property and they have both been satisfied.  Please join us in thanking Our Lady of Mount Carmel as we are now a little closer to closing with these two questions answered.

The Foundation is committed to being good stewards of the resources entrusted to our care.  In an effort to make decisions guided by God's grace and lights, we must move slowly and with a superabundance of prayer.  Our agreement to purchase 2,500 acres in the mountains has many contingencies for just this reason:  to make sure that we are acquiring mountain property chosen by God and where a new monastery for the Wyoming Carmelites can actually be built.  Today we thank the good Lord for being one step closer to our goal and we know that it is in large part due to your prayers.  May God bless you.

Schematic Design Concluding

In God's amazing Providence and Design, Mr. McCrery, our dedicated and gifted architect has written to let the Foundation know that he is concluding the final design components necessary to complete Schematic Design.  This means that he has nearly completed the floor plans and initial elevations, as well as the master site plan for the New Mount Carmel.  We expect to receive these images this week and to then review them.  Mr. McCrery is hoping to have renderings and other designs to us by the Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.   We will keep you posted as the monks anxiously await the updated architectural drawings.   Continue to keep McCrery Architects in your prayers that Our Lady of Mount Carmel may guide their hands as they design the world's newest cloistered monastery, high in Wyoming's Rockies.

May God reward you!

Allow us to take this opportunity as the Board of Directors of the New Mount Carmel Foundation to thank those of you who have already been so generous and expressed your support of this noble project by so much charity!

God Himself shall surely reward you with choicest graces for your goodness.  The monks and the Foundation are grateful to have received already such generous gifts through the website.

If you have not donated already, please do so.  You can donate here.

As we wrote for the first blog entries, ground must be broken on Maundy Thursday, 2011 lest vocations be turned away, but ground CAN ONLY be broken by your charity.  Please pray and continue to support our efforts as we move forward with love and zeal for the Lord, for Holy Church and for the Carmelites!  Thanks again.

We promise to do our best to keep you updated on our progress in the weeks and months ahead!  Be most certain of the prayers of the Wyoming Carmelites and the entire Foundation Board.
