The Foundation has been very busy since our last post getting to know our neighbors near the New Mount Carmel; it has been a real joy and pleasure making the acquaintance of these fine, hard working ranch families.  We look forward to spending more time with our future neighbors in the upcoming weeks, answering questions and learning from their years of wisdom and experience.  We thank the Lord for each of these beautiful families and entrust their intentions to His Sacred Heart!  The monks are very excited to learn from the neighboring ranches and be a source of prayerful solidarity and friendship.  What a blessing good neighbors are!

Dear friends of Our Lady, many greetings and a superabundance of prayers go out to each of you on this glorious Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  May this tenderest of mothers, Jesus' Mother intercede for each of you and for your families.  The Carmelite Monks greet you on this special day in a very particular way with gratitude and joy.  Let us serve the Blessed Virgin Mary, under Her glorious title as Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  To this glorious Queen and Mother of Jesus, we gladly rededicate our labors to found this cloistered monastery for Her Carmelite sons.

The New Mount Carmel Foundation is in the process of seeking approval from Park County, Wyoming for the necessary permits to relocate the monastery and Mystic Monk Coffee to the mountains.  Today the completed applications were submitted to the County Planning and Zoning Office for review and circulation to the Planning Committee.  Please pray for our success at acquiring the Special Use Permits, so that a New Mount Carmel may truly be founded here in the midst of God's country.  We will keep you updated on our progress, but the first meeting with the county is not scheduled until mid August.  In the meantime, let us beg Our Lady of Mount Carmel to guide and inspire our county officials to be favorably disposed to this noble and holy endeavor.
